If you have a current subscription but the Settings/Subscription page shows that you don't, try a refresh.
This can happen after transferring your data from an old device to a new one for example.
To fix this, tap the refresh button on the top right of the Settings/Subscription page.
If you have installed AvTraffic but you sometimes forget to start it, there is the shortcut feature that's been available for a couple of years.
This starts both AvTraffic and your EFB app in sequence.
Previously, you had to build this yourself from complex video instructions but now you can download a pre-built shortcut for popular EFB apps.
Instructions are available here.
Of course, premium users can still use the Auto Start feature.
When the "Show Tracks" setting is switched on all targets show their track. When switched off, a track is only shown for a target if it is selected by tapping on it. The default is off.
The launch URL allows third party apps or a URL embedded in an email or text message to launch AvTraffic. Try entering "avtraffic://" into Safari.
While SkyDemon has been added to the list of supported EFBs for auto launch, at this time it is not implemented in SkyDemon. Any SkyDemon users that would like this feature to work are encouraged to contact SkyDemon and ask them to register the url "skydemon://" to their app.
New FAQ created explains what to do if you've forgotten your password.
Just a reminder that when you use AvTraffic while flying, don't forget to select the aircraft you're flying and select active (ACT) mode.
Use the toolbar buttons at the top right to select your aircraft and mode. Refer to the app's Help tab for more.
If you have a second device, make sure it's in standby (SBY) mode.
Premium trial period extended from one to six months for existing or new downloads before the end of June 2021.

* all new features
If you have already downloaded AvTraffic or do so before July 1st, you will get free premium access until December 31 2021.
After July 1st, the free trial period will be 1 month from download.
The subscription will be $1.99 per month or $19.99 per year (AUD) or equivalent in your local currency.
You will still be able to use AvTraffic's own traffic display without a subscription.
Cater for the case where an aircraft has both a mode S transponder and a FLARM unit and the callsigns are different.
This is common for gliders in Europe where the Mode S callsign is the full registration say DABCD but the FLARM callsign is just CD.
The stability issue could occur when an external ADS-B receiver is in use resulting in JSON errors and missing aircraft type data.
Multiple sources might occur for example where a target aircraft has ADS-B out and also active AvTraffic at the same time.
A server outage occurred back in March that lasted for two days and resulted in a continuous stream of error messages. If this occurs again, only a single error will appear and the server marked as "Down" in the status view until it recovers.
New option to show or hide airports. Airports are shown by default.
At this time the Open Glider Network live service has been down for about a day. AvTraffic has no control over the operation of this service and we are simply waiting for the service to be restored.
AvTraffic is currently showing alternately that the service is 'slow' or has a 'network error'. It is retrying the connection every couple of minutes and is continuously showing a series of warnings and error messages.
Please ignore these messages and the red cross in the status for the time being.
AvTraffic and ADSB Exchange are still working and will continue to show traffic from those sources as normal.
In a future release, server outages will only generate a warning once and reconnect when the service comes back up.
If you use a portable ADS-B receiver such as the SkyEcho 2 with your EFB app, AvTraffic will now merge its own traffic sources with the receiver's traffic for a more complete picture.
To enable this, go to the Options screen and switch on the "Portable ADS-B" switch.
The status page will have an extra Service line showing the receiver and its target count. Don't forget you need to be connected to the receiver's WiFi network.
Some significant updates to altimetry.
Devices with a barometer now report pressure altitude as well as GNSS altitude. This enhances vertical separation with ADS-B traffic.
All altitudes are rounded to 100 feet with a prefix -
For example, G010 means 1000' GNSS or GPS, A010 means 1000' AMSL on local QNH.
